Our private boat tour exceeded all of our expectations. The attention to details such as flowers, snacks and beverages was far better than expected. Our Captain/Guide Tallon was friendly, knowledgeable and seemed to know just when to share comments with us and when to allow us to enjoy the sights of Amsterdam in quiet.
If you have not seen Amsterdam from a canal tour, you have not truly seen Amsterdam. While there are many choices, I cannot imagine a better choice than this one.

Our skipper, Scott, was outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Amsterdam's history, architecture, and culture. Beyond that, he was warm, engaging, and easy to talk to, making us feel completely comfortable from the moment we stepped aboard.
We were fortunate to experience the cruise during Amsterdam's beautiful golden hour, and the city looked absolutely magical. Gliding through the canals as the sun cast a warm glow over the buildings and bridges created a truly unforgettable atmosphere.

In late December, I took a cruise past the artworks of the Amsterdam Light Festival. It is so cozy and pleasant in such a beautiful, small saloon boat. You can see everything much better, and we were able to get very close to the Amsterdam replica, for example. That isn't possible with the regular tour boats. And, of course, there were also excellently catered snacks and drinks. Incidentally, I got the tip for this trip from one of my cousins, who proposed to his girlfriend last September during a super romantic cruise for two. Paul Pelsser

Wow, this review is absolutely overdue!! Rocco was an incredible guide for this romantic tour. It was everything I hoped it would be. I had a light festival tour on a small group tour with our skipper Glynn and it was absolutely amazing. Props to the skipper for making us feel welcome with snacks and drinks and giving us a wonderful walkthrough of all the different artworks.

The weather was super cold but the boat was well warmed enough and cozy for us to be able to enjoy the trip. 5 stars experience truly! :)

Fantastic boat ride with our skipper Scott! Our family took an evening boat ride through the light festival and Scott was able to share details of all the light installations but also tell us more about the city. He balanced it perfectly with guiding us while also leaving us time to chat amongst ourselves. We had a perfect evening and I couldn’t recommend this more. Finally, after the usual route to see all the light installations, we had some time left and he showed us a few hidden spots of the city by boat. 10/10 would recommend this tour with Scott.

Our tour boat on November 26,2025 was just so lovely. To be able to view the city and city lights from the canals was amazing, weather was chilly but clear and our tour guide Glenn was a wonderful guide with a bit of history and knowledge of the area gave us a great deal of information and appreciation for Amsterdam. The email communication to arrange the evening was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our three course meals picked up along the way, and Rocco picked a perfect, quiet intimate canal for the proposal itself. The communication and planning were great, and we really enjoyed the Romantic Amsterdam Tour. However, we were unhappy with the photographer we were assigned—both the photos and editing didn't meet our expectations. When we brought this up, responses were slow, and we ultimately just asked for the RAW files. Surprisingly, we liked the polaroids more than the professional photos. If photography is a priority for you, I recommend asking in advance who your photographer will be.
