Your romantic storyteller is also your boat captain
A silent, small, electric boat: with a retractable roof and windows. In spring/summer and with nice weather, the boat is open. In autumn/winter or bad weather, the boat can be fully covered.
Blankets so you can snuggle with your partner.
For winter we have heating onboard that keeps you nicely warm.
Language options: English, Dutch. We have some guides speaking German and Spanish (inform us before which language you prefer)

I had a light festival tour on a small group tour with our skipper Glynn and it was absolutely amazing. Props to the skipper for making us feel welcome with snacks and drinks and giving us a wonderful walkthrough of all the different artworks.

The weather was super cold but the boat was well warmed enough and cozy for us to be able to enjoy the trip. 5 stars experience truly! :)

Fantastic boat ride with our skipper Scott! Our family took an evening boat ride through the light festival and Scott was able to share details of all the light installations but also tell us more about the city. He balanced it perfectly with guiding us while also leaving us time to chat amongst ourselves. We had a perfect evening and I couldn’t recommend this more. Finally, after the usual route to see all the light installations, we had some time left and he showed us a few hidden spots of the city by boat. 10/10 would recommend this tour with Scott.

Our tour boat on November 26,2025 was just so lovely. To be able to view the city and city lights from the canals was amazing, weather was chilly but clear and our tour guide Glenn was a wonderful guide with a bit of history and knowledge of the area gave us a great deal of information and appreciation for Amsterdam. The email communication to arrange the evening was excellent. We really enjoyed our canal tour with captain Mare. She was funny charming and knowledgeable. The snacks and drinks on board were of high quality. The communication and planning were great, and we really enjoyed the Romantic Amsterdam Tour. However, we were unhappy with the photographer we were assigned—both the photos and editing didn't meet our expectations. When we brought this up, responses were slow, and we ultimately just asked for the RAW files. Surprisingly, we liked the polaroids more than the professional photos. If photography is a priority for you, I recommend asking in advance who your photographer will be.

Where is the best place to propose in Amsterdam to your loved one during the private canal cruise??

There are many wonderful places in Amsterdam where you can propose to the love of your life. Based on our experience, here are a few suggestions. The Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge) is a beautiful wooden bridge on the river Amstel with the legend that if you sail underneath and kiss each other, you will be together forever. It is a meaningful bridge and romantic location. The only downside is that it can sometimes be a bit busier and therefore not very private. The second location for your marriage proposal is at the end of the Seven Bridges of Love. Here is a small canal with a nice view of the two towers of the Rijksmuseum. This is the place we recommend because it is quiet and you have all the privacy you want for a marriage proposal. A third suggestion is on one of the 7 bridges in Amsterdam. We will then stop in the middle of the seven bridges and get off to walk to the bridge. This is ideal if you want to photograph your proposal. You have a beautiful background and therefore ideal for taking beautiful photos when you propose to your loved one. We have a number of photographers who specialize in marriage proposals and with whom we regularly work.

When is the best time to book a Amsterdam Proposal Package?

My personal opinion is that Amsterdam is beautiful in a different way at different times of the day. In the morning it is calm and quiet on the canals with a few boats. In the afternoon it is usually nice and busy (especially on weekends) and often warmer on the water At the end of the day, the city calms down and you can often see a beautiful sunset.
